As long as the application conditions are met, they can enter the list of immigration candidates. The Australian Immigration Bureau will issue Immigration invitations according to the score.

Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)

The Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) is applicable to people whose occupation is on the occupation list of each state in Australia (the occupation list of each state is selected from the STSOL+MLTSS list), or people with a score of only 60 points. Each state not only has its own list of nominated occupations, but also has its own separate nomination requirements. In addition to meeting the scoring requirements and the basic requirements of the Immigration Bureau, applicants also need to meet additional state nomination requirements. In order to obtain the 190 state guarantee, after getting the 190 state guarantee, you can get 5 points in the EOI score. If the person who originally only got 60 points adds these 5 points, he/she can reach the 65-point pass line.

Once you have successfully obtained the 190 permanent residence visa, you need to have lived in the state that nominated you for two years. After that, it will be the same as the 189 visa without any additional restrictions.

Application Conditions:

  • have an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list
  • have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation
  • EOI is able to score 65 points or more
  • Nominated by state government
  • You must be aged under 45 when we invite you to apply for the visa.
  • Meet the language level
  • Meet health and character requirement

Common Problems

How does the state government select applicants?

Each state selects applicants in different ways, generally issuing nominations based on their scores.

What is the difference between subclass 189 and 190 skilled migration?

The only difference between the two visas is that the 189 visa can go to settle anywhere in Australia, while the 190 visa is a state nominated immigrant. After successful immigration, you need to settle in the sponsored state for two years before you can settle in other areas (you can return to the country or Travel to other states in Australia).

What is the difference between the application conditions in each state?

Application conditions include: study time, residence time, English scores, career assessment, etc.
Different states have different requirements for these application conditions. For details, please contact us for online consultation.

Can I get nominated by applying?

State nominations are not guaranteed after applying. Since 2018, the requirements of various states have become stricter. Some states (such as Tasmania) have made it clear that the requirements on the webpage are the minimum requirements. It doesn’t mean that the applicants can get state nomination, if they have met the minimum requirements.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)

The full name of the subclass 491 visa is Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa. The total length of the visa is 5 years. In 3 of these 5 years, the residence and income requirements (currently A$53,900) can be met, and it can be converted to Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa (subclass 191).

Application Conditions

  • Obtain an invitation for state nominations in remote areas or sponsors from relatives in remote areas through the SkillSelect system
  • have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation

Common Problems

Skilled Immigrations

More and more difficult?

Because there are quotas for occupations every year, from high scores to low scores, even if you reach the minimum EOI application score, you will not have the opportunity to be invited.

In fact, there are many occupations on the occupation list, with large quotas and low scores. The competition is much lower than popular majors. Then how to choose a suitable major is to find a professional immigration lawyer to help you analyse and tailor it.

How does EOI score?

EOI scoring is a scoring standard for Australian skilled immigrants which is comprehensively judged from factors such as age, English ability, work experience, and academic qualifications etc. to help audit visa . The specific scoring situation can refer to the EOI scoring standard.

What exactly is a career assessment?

In the process of Australian skilled migration, you first need to determine your occupation (professional) in the Australian skilled migration occupation list. If your occupation is on the list, the applicant needs to perform a career assessment step. The purpose of career assessment is not only to measure the application whether a person’s occupation matches the SOL or CSOL list, it also is partly for the bonus points of work experience in the EOI.

What should I pay attention to when applying for EOI?

When submitting an EOI, pay attention to the following three things:

  1. The applicant’s score has reached 65 points
  2. Everyone has 2 chances to be invite
  3. The applicant must submit a visa application within 60 days of receiving the invitation, otherwise the invitation will be invalidated
